insatiable-geek: Link’s Medicine of Magic - Green Potion (The Legend of Zelda alcoholic punch)
Ingredients:
2 liters Sprite
1 liter Green Apple Soda
1 cup Vodka
1/2 cup Green Apple Liqueur
1/4 cup Lychee LiqueurDirections: This drink is a punch meant for parties. Mix all ingredients into a punch bowl, cauldron, boiling flask, or large container of your choosing. Drink whenever you feel the need to restore your magic meter.
A note from the creators: “This has a nice apple flavor (but not too strong), and the lychee adds a nice touch of exotic. Keep in mind we used a 5 liter boiling flask for this monster. So start breaking open pots and bring your rupees to the witch’s hut… or hit up the liquor store.”

Ingredients:
1 oz. Vodka
.75 oz. Kahlua
1 oz. grenadine
ColaDirections:
- Pour the first three ingredients in a high ball or pint glass over ice
- Fill with cola of choice
- Stir gently
Note from the creators: “The black widow, Natasha Romanof, Russian born agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. What better way to encapsulate this Russian femme fetale than a sweet smooth variant on the Black Russian. This drink is smooth, sweet, and has just the hint of coffee flavour you’d want from a Kahlua drink.”

Absinthe (NV Absinthe Verte used)Directions: For all shots, layer the ingredients in the order given (except for Thor, which should be stirred). If all the ingredients are chilled, it should be very easy to layer them.
A note from the creators and the ‘shot challenge’ explanation:
Happy Avengers Day one and all!! So the trick here is they get stronger the further you go down the list. We have the order very carefully placed and drinks carefully crafted to embody the heroes. We are using the movie universe avengers even though we are aware they were not the first avengers.
Captain America:
Doctor erskine was going to share blueberry schnapps with him, but he couldn’t have it. Also due to the advanced tissues on his organs he can’t get drunk, hence this shot is the weakest.
Iron man:
Tony stark has battled on and off with alcoholism so his tolerance for alcohol is high hence the high proof rum, yet he tries to not drink hence the grenadine to dilute the alcohol.
Thor:
He is a god. He drinks after battle and can handle his alcohol, yet human alcohol seems to affect him more hence he is the middle.
Hawkeye:
Just a normal human with unbelievable accuracy with all fire arms, bow being his weapon of choice. (p.s. Unlike the trailers we here at EXPbaronline do support Hawkeye and think he is bad ass)
Hulk:
He’s the Hulk, and as he so eloquently has stated in the past, “HULK AM THE STRONGEST THERE IS!!!!!” hence he is last.
So there you have it the avengers shot challenge. Enjoy.

Top Up TonicDirections: Mix first four ingredients in a flask or glass and top off with tonic. Consume as needed.

The red health potion, stored in a mystical apothecary vessel, is incredibly iconic in gaming and is found in many a dungeon crawler. Since I’m so excited for Diablo III I thought I’d focus on the most famous and original version as found in the series (though I’m aware that health potions are not being used in Diablo III – boo!). So in the spirit of Christmas and New Year being a time for relaxation and recuperation I thought this surprisingly sweet and refreshing health potion is just what most of us are looking for.
Many people have been asking where to get the flask from - it was a lovely gift from a friend who picked it up at http://www.demijohn.co.uk/. 1 oz Dekuyper Sour Apple Pucker
.25 oz lemon juice
.25 gold rumDirections: Pour the Sour Apple Pucker first in a shot glass. Layer the lemon juice in the middle and the gold rum on top. Down, up, kick and serve. Drink while listening to Guile’s theme.

3/4 citrus Vodka
1/4 tsp sugar to dissolve
Flareon:
1 oz Fire Water (Hot Cinnamon Schnapps)
1/2 oz Bacardi 151
1 pinch cinnamon
Espeon:
1 oz Hpnotiq
1/2 oz Gin
1/8 oz Grenadine
Umbreon:
1 oz. Kraken Black Spiced Rum
1/2 oz Coconut rum

3/4 oz Ice 101 peppermint schnappsDirections: All of but two of the shots (Flareon and Glaceon) can be made simply by mixing the ingredients in a shot glass. For Flareon, layer the Bacardi 151 on top and light on fire. Sprinkle the pinch of cinnamon over the fire for a cool effect. For Glaceon, layer the Ice 101 peppermint schnapps on top of the Irish cream.
